Custom Coin Pricing?

Hello everyone, i am new here and am asking for your help in pricing some coins that i am in the process of minting.

I am currently starting a new company racingcoins.com, we will be minting 1.5" .999 silver coins for nascar drivers. we will only mint 900 of each coin, and the cost with license is around $20 - $25.

with such a low number minted would $50 - $75 be way out of line?

please give me your feedback.

thank you and happy to be here. i have been learning alot from every one here.

You will not have any trouble collecting any number of FRN's from people that like watching cars doing left turns for hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours. Then again a "sport" created to cater to advertisers is not much unlike American Football. and they sell for 80 to 300 dollars a pop

Funny post Z......my brother in law is an avid Nascar fan. He has 5 traffic tickets in the last year to prove it.. He tried to get me to watch it ONCE......round and a round and a round and a round and a round and a round and a round it was like watching paint dry. Good sport for the thick neck, pot bellied, beer swilling crowd from Goteboe Southern USA to watch. However it was a step up from watching golf, talk about a triple dose of sleeping pills........

Good luck with the silver racing medallions. I would make them and rent a cable channel and get a talking head to pimp them to the late nite folk of Goteboe...they bleed Castrol. glta

I recently sold a 1oz "footbal" .999 bar on ebay for 45.00, of course, I only payed slightly over spot price for it. So, yeah, there's a sucker born every minute :wavey:

The coin shop here sells 1oz silver rounds with sports figures on them for $25 a piece. I'd never pay that, since having someones face on a coin does nothing for me personaly. I'd rather get two for the money.

Man, as rude as the responses were I'm wondering if you're being serious. I think they would sell just not to the folks here. That being said, y'all's responses have me laughing my butt off, I can hardly stop! To mirror Bullionaire's sentiments, watching Nascar is about as interesting as watching mold grow. And Travisimo, where can I get one of those hilarious BORING shirts? I've gotta have one, freaking hilarious! I can tolerate golf, but I think I'd rather be castrated than watch soccer. Now if I can just figure out what a Goteboe is...

Here is a link to an article about the Super Bowl coins. It sounds like they do pretty well.

I would think NASCAR versions would do even better, and with the way they change drivers and sponsors you can take advantage of these changes to create rarities.

While I am not a fan of the left turn tracks I do like road courses.

I think you can definately sell those NAPCAR coins for over 50 bucks, it's a very popular "sport" even up here in New York.

Where and how did you get the images for the rounds? Did you hire an engraver? Just curious. Good luck with your end endeavor.
